Life-size Bible Sanctuary Coming to Hagerstown

Hagerstown, MD—A scene from the time of Moses will play out in Hagerstown, Maryland, this September when a replica of the Old Testament tabernacle is erected on the grounds of the Review and Herald Publishing Association.

Six area churches and Highland View Academy are cooperating to host the educational display. According to the book of Exodus, the people of Israel built a large, portable tent as a temple for their God as they traveled through the Sinai desert.

Free tours will run from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. beginning on Saturday, September 8 and continue through September 16.  The life-size tabernacle structure is 150 feet long. Youth will lead tours through five different areas of the sanctuary.

Chris Holland, pastor of the Hagerstown Seventh-day Adventist Church says people will discover “the gospel symbols in the Old Testament and how they lift up Jesus.”

The recreated tabernacle will be located at 55 West Oak Ridge Drive in Hagerstown. For more information call 301-733-4411.
