I hired Mr Bourgeois to repair some heirloom furniture that I had inherited from my Grand parents. The chairs to the dinning set were wobbly and I was affraid to have guests use them any more. I was quite apprehensive about letting that furniture go anywhere. The hand needle point seats had been cared for meticulously by my grand mother (I had to always sit on a towel as a child) and the sentimental value of the furniture was irreplacable.
The minute Mr. Bourgeois came to look at the furniture all of my fears were abated. He removed all the chair cushions so he would not hurt them in any way (without me saying anything) and then he proceeded to tell me what it would take to repair the 6 chairs. He quoted me a price and a timeline that I was happy with.
Not only did he deliver what he promised on time and for the amount quoted, when he brought back the chairs he reinstalled all the seat cushions and placed each chair in its respective position at the table. His attention to the small details and to make sure that the workmanship on each chair was up to par was amazing.
I know this was a small job for him but he treated my prized possesions as if they were a big job and deserved his full attention.
I can not say how pleased I am with the work he performed for me. Not to mention I am no longer affraid to have people sit down to dinner at my grandmothers lovely dinning room suite.
