We have recently moved to the area and have been taking our 2 dogs to Ark Animal Clinic for illness and grooming. The vets there are great. They are knowledgeable and kind.
On the other hand, their groomer is horrible. Not only did they recently raise their prices, but the service is horrible. Our yorkie was groomed there and the cut is uneven, he still has grime on him, and it took her 3 1/2 hours to do this horrible job. We called numerous times to see if the dog was ready and each time we were told a different story about why it was taking so long. When we finally went to pick him up, i asked the groomer herself why it would take so long to groom such a small dog when the last groomer we had could do a fantastic job in less than half the time. She was arrogant and said if I wanted my dog sooner I should find another groomer. Usually a simple apology will go a long way with me, and a professional should apologize when a customer is upset, but she did nothing of the sort. When I had called the one time to see where my dog was they told me she had started him, but then left him half-way done to go to lunch, when I got there the groomer simply said the fastest she could physically groom a dog the size of a yorkie was in 3 hours! If this is the case, she should be seeking some sort of class or tutorial on how to even groom dogs. Also, when I called another groomer, they knew where I was getting my dog groomed without my telling them because they had received numerous phone calls from people upset with this groomer and wanting a new one. If you want quality grooming for a reasonable price, this is not the groomer for you.
