Veterans Day Ceremony at Panhandle Home Health 

In celebration of Veterans Day, Panhandle Home Health conducted a Veterans Day & Flag Dedication Ceremony Program on their premises at 208 Old Mill Road, Martinsburg, WV. The ceremony began with an invocation by The Reverend Carl Howard who serves on the Panhandle Home Health Board of Directors, followed by welcome and introductions from Vice President of the Panhandle Home Health, Vicki Jenkins.
Senior Master Sergeant Dave Stevens and Tech Sergeant Kevin Day of the 167th Air National Base Honor Guard presented the colors while Joseph Blessing played the “National Anthem”. Becky Collins, a registered nurse for Panhandle Home Health, and an Army E4 Specialist who served in Desert Storm led in the Pledge of Allegiance. Lisa Bivens, Executive Director expressed heartfelt gratitude to all veterans actively serving, as well as those who have previously served our nation in years past.
Ms. Bivens also acknowledged and thanked those who volunteered their time and resources in erecting the new flagpole for the Veteran’s Day observance.
Among those observing the ceremony today was Army E-4 Specialist, Joshua P. Klewe of the 351st Ordnance Company, Martinsburg, WV. Specialist Klewe recently returned home to the Martinsburg area after serving in Iraq for close to one year.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, everyone was invited to stay for a continental breakfast.
