Take a walk downtown and check out all the “Yard Square Quilts” that are on display in shop windows and walls. The generous members of the Delectable Mountains Quilt Guild have made and donated these forty plus quilted works of art to be sold at auction on Sunday, May 27 at 2:00 pm at the Ice House. The auction is fun and proceeds from the sale will be given to Camp Joy.
Don’t forget this coming weekend, May 26, 27 & 28 10 am-5 pm, offers the Berkeley Springs Studio Tour. You and visitors to the area have the opportunity to visit local artists in their studios. Pick up a tour guidebook at the Chamber office or go to http://www.berkeleyspringsstudiotour.org
Help a good project and clean out your closet .... Stepping Stones to a Brighter Future, a local group that provides assistance to survivors of domestic violence in Morgan County, is collecting “like new” shoes and purses for a fundraiser on Hey Giflfriend weekend, June 2 & 3. So, if you have women’s shoes or purses to donate, drop them at the Chamber office or the Library by June 1 st!
Cox Camping, 44 Cox Lane, off Milo School Road, Great Cacapon, is hosting a Flea Market/Yard Sale on Friday and Saturday, May 25 & 26, 8 am- 4 pm, free tables available
Saturday, May 26 Cox Camping will have live bands featuring the classic rock sound of Stereo Spacecraft with special guests BlackCat School of Rock and Karaoke after the concert Admission: adults $5, couples $8, children 12 and under free, campers free.
