I had heard a lot of good things from my friends about the wings at Wata Wing. I decided to look them up on the web to see if I could find out anything about them. Well, I have seen some good reviews and bad reviews. I learned a long time ago that if reviews are mixed, I have to check it out for myself. For all I know, Darcy and the Steels are whiny people that can't be pleased no matter how much you try. Seems like they went the extra mile for Darcy and she got to eat free which was probably what she was trying to get in the first place. I have been in the food business and I hate people who try to get a free meal. My experience was very good. The service was pleasant and the food exceeded my expectations. I cant speak to delivery but I will give it a shot and give you an update. If you like wings, I recommend them.

I had been craving wings for a while and when some of my friends at work suggested them for lunch I was excited. First, when they go here they were a dollar more than advertised. I took my food in and tried to eat it and it was as cold as if they had put it in the refridgerator. I called the store and they were not really responsive to the fact that my food was cold. They said they would bring my food out to me and then changed their mind when someone else from the facility complained. When they guy arrived without my food I was pretty upset at them. I called them back and told them to just refund my money and that I would not order from them again. When the deliver guy brought back my money, he also returned with a fresh box of wings that was hot (hmmmm). Wven though I did get my money returned to me, and they gave me the food, I still would not order from them again. I live just down the street from them and will not stop by and order from them again either. It was to difficult to get them to correct a mistake.

My wife and I decided to dine in at Whata-Wing the other day. We ordered two different kinds of wings, and fried pickles. The 24 wings were served on 1 cheap paper plate with wax paper in between the different flavors. We had to request plates for ourselves to use to eat on. The wings were very much overcooked. Most of the batter had fallen off the fried pickles, which were almost impossible to eat due to the only eating utensil available (upon request) was a plastic fork. Being small business owners ourselves, if we are very unsatisfied with a business we will pay our bill and then kindly explain to the manager/owner what it was that we were unsatisfied about. The owner of Whata-Wing told us that this was a take out restaurant and we were ignorant for expecting anything more than paper plates, wax paper, plastic forks, and lousy food. We will not be returning.

After reading other reviews I decided to give this one a try. I've seen the signs posted and was curious to how the food was. I do have to say I was overly impressed with the taste of the wings and cheese fries I ordered. The Ranch wings are great being I love Ranch dressing. The mild wings were the perfect temperature. I had the cheese fries and expected them to be ok (they use cheese sauce instead of actual cheddar) but were delicious. The fries were nice and crisp and not mushy like other places. I purchased 18 wings and a basket of cheese fries for $16! I'll miss The Backyard Chef BBQ. However, the restaurant that replaced it is just as good if not better and has very affordable prices. The only thing I can say is that the wings are cut a little sloppy. I had a few wings that had shattered bones in them which indicates a rushed job. This wasn't enough to turn me off as I simply had to watch what I swallowed but I hope the quality of the wings as far as butchering gets better. They have tons of flavors and three styles of fries to choose from. Wonderful carry out! This will be my go to place for Sport and Movie nights!

Very friendly atmosphere. Our family has been going there for several weeks now. Service, food and everything is great. Can't beat the price. My family of 5 can eat there for under $30. If you don't feel like going out- they'll even deliver it to you. Having a get together- it's a definite must. If you haven't tried wata- wing yet-make it your next night out- you will fall in love with it. It's a great way to support our down town businesses. For those of us who grew up in the 80's they even have a table top arcade game filled with all of the favorites.

My wife and I were looking for something Friday night that was just out of the norm. We heard an advertisment on the radio on the first of the week and seen the Wata Wing cafe as we were walking down Queen street so thought we would try it. All I can say is AWSOME and I mean really AWSOME we Love wings and used to go to BW's but after Friday night I think Wata Wing has hooked us we went again Saturday night and even had lunch there today. I mean this place is something else, the atmosphere is really cool (not too loud) and I can watch anyone of the 5 tv's as I eat and have free refills of D.Coke we have tried 14 of the 28 flavors so far and plan on getting having tried all 28 by Friday. (so far the Ranch and Ranch-Parm.) are our fav. So a word to all the other wing places around FORGETABOUTIT Watawing has it hands down. W.O. Cook , Martinsburg, WV.
