Over the course of the past 3 months, we've worked hard to add value to the advertising packages available on inthepanhandle.com by adding features which benefit not only the businesses that take advantage of them but also the eastern panhandle community in general.

Today, we have decided to add some previously Premium Package only features to the Free, Basic and Advanced advertising packages. We think that by allowing all businesses to take advantage of these features, on a limited... More about: Features added to Free, Basic and Advanced Listings

This was always a problem because most of us, when looking for a movie, are willing to travel to Hagerstown or Winchester to see the movie we want.

Well, we've solved that.

The new... More about: Movie Showtimes - New and Improved!
Matthew Umstead of the Hagerstown Morning Herald has reported in an article on the Herald-Mail Online that "Teachers across the state, including those at Eastern Panhandle schools, are being asked by union leaders whether they would support a possible strike, West Virginia Education Association Executive Director David A. inthepanhandle.com sponsored a Youth Rally at Berkeley Baptist Church this past weekend. We provided an iPod Shuffle which was given away as part of the festivities.

The youth rally was attended by between 75 and 100 people. Events included a 3-on-3 baskeball tournament that included 14 teams, a praise band, pizza, a competition to see how many youth could fit in a Volvo (a lot!) and many other activites.

Congratulations to Matthew Stevens, the winner of the iPod Shuffle (pictured... More about: inthepanhandle.com Sponsors Youth Rally

It seems that head shaving is becoming popular among the elite - a trend that I feel like I was way ahead of the curve on - what with Britney shaving her head and Vince McMahon challenging Donald Trump to a death-match by proxy and all (full article: Donald Bets Dome On Bout - NYPost.com).

Apparently, buzz cuts aren't just for rednecks, statement-making pop stars... More about: POLL: Who would you like to see shave their head?
48) Add Local Search To Your Website by inthepanhandle.com Admin Added: Jan 30th 2007, 14:18
inthepanhandle.com has added a new feature for owners of local websites which will allow them to provide their visitors with an easy way to find any of the over 900 businesses found in inthepanhandle.com.

We call this Local Search. Local Search is a bit of code which webmasters can copy/paste into the code of their website to add a small inthepanhandle.com search box to their webpage. This search box allows visitors to search the entire directory by keyword.
