Hagerstown, MD - Saturday, August 4, 2007 was the Martinsburg Community Day at the Hagerstown Suns. inthepanhandle.com was on hand as a sponsor and it was an enjoyable time for all involved.

Today saw the addition of two businesses to the downtown Martinsburg marketplace.

The Market House Restaurant and Common Ground each opened their doors to well attended ribbon cutting ceremonies. Participants included member of City Council, the Mayor of Martinsburg, members of Main St. Martinsburg and various local business owners.

Cacapon State Park, Berkeley Springs, WV - Today, Saturday July 28, 2007, was a great day for the 4th annual Morgan County Fair 5K Race and Walk, held at Cacapon State Park. This weekend will be a big weekend for downtown Martinsburg.

The Martinsburg Roundhouse Center will be celebrating the 9th Annual Roundhouse Rail Days and Main Street Martinsburg will be holding a Chili Cook-Off.

The Rail Days, July 21 and 22, will feature live music from the Sensational Soul Cruisers, Gospel Bond and The Kerstetters.

In collaboration with Main Street Martinsburg there will be a farmer's market set up at the square in downtown Martinsburg every Wednesday and Friday (from 8am to noon).

Produce will be available from Edenbrook / Burkhart's Produce and Kilmer's Farm Market and will include blueberries, peaches, apples, tomatoes, squash, cucumbers, eggplants, green beans, spring onions, and peppers.

Downtown Martinsburg is much more artistic thanks to Mainstreet Martinsburg and a group of local artists.

Main Street's Palette Project is a large multi-media project that will be on public display in downtown Martinsburg for the summer months. Twenty-eight area artists are showcasing their personal talent on 5 FT wood palettes.
