MARTINSBURG, WV Each summer, The Arts Centre presents six weeks of summer "art camp" for children, ages 5-15. This program combines visual art with music and dance for a multi-media experience.
This years schedule:
June 16-20 - "Stone Age" - ages 5-7
June 23-27 - "Life in the Castle" - ages 8-10
July 7-11 - "African and Asian Art" - ages 11-13
July 14-18 - "Wild Life" - ages 5-7
July 21-25 - "Rhyme & Rhythm" - ages 8-10
July 28 - August 1 - "miXed MeDia" - ages 13-15
Classes are held Monday- Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at The Arts Centre at 300 W. King Street (the former Federal Building and Post Office).
Tuition is $160 per week, if paid after May 1, or $130 by April 30. Arts Centre members receive a 10% discount on tuition. A registration form is available at theartcentre.org . Need-based scholarships are available - please request an application.
