2008 Teen Filmmakers’ Workshop
During the two, three-week workshops, our students learn all aspects of filmmaking, explore the rich cultural heritage and history of the Eastern Panhandle, and cover modern topics of interest.
This Workshop is suitable for students of all skill levels who are entering Grade 7 through Freshman year in college. Students are cross-trained in scriptwriting, location scouting, storyboarding, acting, directing, producing, photography, lighting, sound, and film editing with Final Cut Pro 6, the film industry's standard, and DVD authoring. Our graduates have been invited to serve on professional productions for Discovery Channel, Habitat for Humanity, and Bright Guys Film & Video.
The revamped and expanded Workshops are now three weeks, Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and include Instructors and Guest Lecturers with extensive experience in Hollywood and independent films, documentaries, video and the television industry.
