The Crappiest Wal-Mart in America?
Here? In our beautiful little town? Surely, you jest!
"Last evening it was dirty and ill-kept, the bathroom was about as clean as the men's bathroom in Penn Station was in 1974 (I remember that bathroom, that's how crappy it was), and the employees appeared just as down-and-out as the customers. In places like West Virginia it's hard to avoid Wal-Mart, and so my boycott waxes and wanes situationally, and since my family visits the Panhandle quite often (a generally beautiful place, by the way), and since, being an American family, we need lots of crap, especially Chinese-made breakable crap, we find ourselves in that Wal-Mart more than I would like."

Idk about that
He did nothing by put down the people of Walmart and not the store itself. I avoid Walmart not b/c of the people there. I avoid it because it is SO busy and dirty! That guy is stirring up too many people.

Yes
That Walmart is pretty disgusting. I don't shop at Walmart anymore not only because they are corporate idiots but because that Walmart is insanely crowded and dirty. The employees are not at all friendly and the lovely teenagers hanging out in front are just something I choose not to be around. I agree with Jeff Goldberg's article and I thought it was high time someone said it.

It's Pretty Bad
I must say that the Martinsburg Wal-Mart is pretty bad and his description of the typical customer seems to be spot on - most of the time anyway. Fortunately, the Spring Mills Wal-Mart is right down the interstate and apparently the customers he describes haven't found their way down to that one - yet.
