Shepherdstown, WV -- Goose Route Arts Collaborative’s Winter Session of weekly dance classes for children and adults begins the week of January 7 and runs 12 weeks. The classes take place at the Shepherdstown Train Station, a beautiful, wood-floored space on Audrey Egle Drive, Shepherdstown, WV. Goose Route’s creative classes emphasize originality over imitation and cooperation over competition. Goose Route is committed to working with people to elicit true self-expression, imagination, and artistry through movement.

Classes for children include “Mini Movers,” a creative movement and motor development skills class for ages 3-5 (Mondays, 5-5:30 pm); “Meant to Move,” a fun and creative beginning dance class for ages 5-7 (Mondays, 4:15-5 pm); and “Kid Hop,” an energetic hip hop class for kids ages 8-12 (Wednesdays, 4:30-5:30 pm).

Classes for adults and teens include “All Move Modern Dance,” a mixed level, low-stress, yet challenging class in which students rediscover their inner dancer (Mondays, 6-7:15 pm); “Dance Mix,” an eclectic movement class with a rotating roster of teachers (Saturdays, 10:30 am-12 pm); and “Performance Lab,” a fulfilling opportunity to transform skills learned in class into choreography (Mondays, 7:15-8 pm).
