Congresswoman Shelley Moore Capito
Congresswoman for West Virginia's Second Congressional District
The Housing Subcommittee of the House Financial Services Committee will hear testimony on the state of affordable housing in the Eastern Panhandle. Subcommittee Chairwoman Maxine Waters and Ranking Member Capito will conduct the hearing with witnesses including Federal Housing Administration Commissioner Brian Montgomery, Rural Housing Service Administrator Russell Davis, Martinsburg Mayor George Karos, representatives from the West Virginia Housing Development Fund, the Martinsburg Public Housing Authority, WV Community Works, and the local veterans’ group MOVV.
This will be a wonderful opportunity to highlight some of the local housing challenges to the Chairman and Ranking Member of the Housing Subcommittee.
The hearing will be held in the chambers of the Berkeley County Commission, 400 West Stephen Street, Martinsburg. The hearing will be open to the public, and members of the housing and banking markets are especially encouraged to attend. Print Add a Comment Back to All Articles
