Business Expo 2008
Hey, we designed that logo!
We, and by we I mean Firebrand Media, designed the logo for the Expo as well as the overall look of the advertising pieces, brochures and rack-cards.
We weren't really sure what to expect as far as turnout was concerned, especially considering that it was a beautiful day outside and the Chili Cook-Off was being held downtown and the parade of homes was going on.
Overall, I felt like the Expo was a great success for our businesses (both inthepanhandle.com and Firebrand Media) as we were able to get the word out about inthepanhandle.com to as many people as we could hope for on a Saturday (typically our slowest day traffic-wise on the site) and we were able to connect with a few new potential clients and re-connect with some old ones.
We even decided to get a little interactive at the Expo and had a live video stream up (at least while we were able to catch the mall's free WiFi). We were on the outer edge of the WiFi signal so the connection was spotty at times. Did you get a chance to see our stream? We got some text messages from it, which was welcome - and very cool.
I also tweeted from the Expo on our Firebrand Media Twitter account. This was my first use of the account that I set up earlier this year. It seemed like a natural fit for the environment we were in. I just wish I'd have thought of using it sooner.
All in all, it was an enjoyable day with a decent traffic count - especially for a first time event on a beautiful day.
