Cacapon State Park, Berkeley Springs, WV - Today, Saturday July 28, 2007, was a great day for the 4th annual Morgan County Fair 5K Race and Walk, held at Cacapon State Park. The race was sponsored by National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association (NARFE), Morgan Milers Runners Club runberkeleysprings.com, and the Morgan County Fair.

Anyone who has ever run the certified course knows that it is a challenge. It features an up and back format with more than half of the run in a gradual incline (it makes the second half easier though)! Participation was good and the runners were rewarded with a cool morning with a bit of humidity. Awards, consisting of trophies and medals, were given out to runners in various classes.

In addition to the run, there was also a children's Fun Run, which the competitors took very seriously (they almost beat me down to the finish line)!

We have 145 pictures of the runners at various points throughout the race and during the awards ceremony. In addition to the pictures that we have, the official pictures from the race photographer will be available later this week as well.
